Presently, logging into your user account will only give access to managing your user info. We are working on a way to display members' information, so the site can double as a networking hub. For this reason, we urge you to keep it updated with current contact information, so other members of our community can interact with you. We also recommend posting links to your pages on e.g. academia.edu and LinkedIn, personal pages or the websites of organisations you are affiliated with.

Future prospects for user accounts

As we continue to develop our community and its infrastructure, your user account on issilc.org will can used for purposes such as registration for CILC conferences, ordering discounted material etc. This is, however, a future situation.

About ISSILC

The International Society for the Study of Interactivity, Language, and Cognition (the acronym ISSILC can be pronounced I-silk) is a society of scientists and scholars engaged in conversing with each other in ways that help to integrate studies of cognition, language, and interactivity.

CILC Conferences

The ISSILC organizes a biennial conference that gathers internationally leading researchers across disciplinary borders, including linguistics, applied linguistics, education, interaction studies, biology, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, communication studies, semiotics, and biosemiotics. These are the CILC conferences: International Conference for Interactivity, Language and Cognition.

As a member of the ISSILC you receive regular newsletters, participation in the biannual CILC conferences, and, when available, discounts on selected publications that result from the work of members of the Society.
